About Uprise

We built the advisor we needed in year one

The Uprise team at their Seattle office

The problem we kept seeing

Our team comes from financial technology, tax software, and SMB customer success. We saw the same pattern repeatedly: small business owners overpaid quarterly taxes, missed retirement contribution windows, or faced cash flow surprises better data could have prevented.

The needed guidance existed, but it sat behind an accountant billing by the hour, often unavailable when an October decision arrived.

Uprise was built to close that gap. We do not replace accountants. We provide planning, quarterly calculations, and forward-looking cash flow and retirement guidance when founders need it.

We launched with Seattle-area sole proprietors in a small private group in late 2023, then opened publicly in 2024. We are three people building something we believe in.

How We Work

What guides us

Numbers first, opinions second

Uprise grounds every recommendation in your actual financials, not generalities. When the data points somewhere different from the textbook, we follow the data.

Help when it matters, not reports

Financial guidance matters most two months before a deadline, not two weeks afterward. We focus on the moments when founders need to decide.

Small enough to care

We are bootstrapped and focused on one problem. Without investors urging expansion into adjacent markets, we can make every product decision around more useful guidance for small business owners.
